EverLife Home Wins Oregon Home Magazine's 2026 Structure + Style Award

EverLife Home is proud to receive Oregon Home Magazine’s 2026 Structure + Style Award in the Exterior Remodel, Outdoor Living, Under $75,000 category. Featured in the magazine’s Fall/Winter issue, the winning project transformed an unused outdoor area into a private, Japanese-inspired retreat.

This is our fourth Structure + Style award in nearly ten years of business—a milestone that reflects our commitment to thoughtful design, detailed planning, personal service, and quality craftsmanship.

An Unused Space Becomes a Private Retreat

The award-winning project brings together natural materials, privacy, and outdoor comfort. A new deck accommodates a hot tub and cold plunge, with overhead protection allowing use in changing weather.

Tight-knot and clear cedar walls create a warm enclosure that complements the natural surroundings. A slotted wall balances privacy with daylight and views, helping the space feel sheltered while maintaining a connection to the landscape.

The result is an inviting place to pause, recharge, and enjoy being home. Oregon Home credits Keith Knowles as project lead and Ingrid Arnett as photographer.

For us, this project illustrates what thoughtful remodeling can accomplish: finding potential in an overlooked part of a property and giving it a meaningful purpose.

Why This Recognition Matters

Oregon has a strong remodeling community, including large companies with extensive teams and resources. As a small design and build company, EverLife Home is proud to have our work recognized alongside that broader community.

Our size allows us to offer a personal experience. We listen closely, stay involved, and give careful attention to the decisions that shape each project.

An award is gratifying, but the standards behind it matter most. Homeowners deserve thoughtful guidance, dependable communication, and work completed with care. Those expectations guide us on every project, whether it appears in a magazine or simply becomes a favorite place in someone’s home.

Design and Planning Make the Difference

A successful remodel begins well before construction. It starts with understanding how homeowners want to use their space, what they value, and where their investment will have the greatest impact.

Our Foundational Design and Planning Process gives those priorities a clear direction. We consider how materials, proportions, function, and budget work together rather than treating each choice as an isolated decision.

On an outdoor project, that means considering both the experience of the space and its relationship to the home and surroundings. Beauty and usefulness should support one another.
