Having grown up with a father who turned his hobby of making fine wood furniture into a general contracting business, Keith apprenticed with a true craftsman. From the age of 12 he started working in his father's business -- Robert Knowles Construction. Keith was blessed with the good fortune to learn the construction trade from excavation and foundation on up to the fine finish of a new home or remodel.
After paying his way through college with construction work, Keith ventured out into the world of marketing, advertising and web development. He spent 12 years on the agency side and at a dot-com startup.
In 2005, the itch to build brought him back into construction business with his father. They were able to complete several noteworthy and award winning projects together, including the Crater Barn
, Lions Gate Inn
and Kahre Home Remodel
focusing on green building and solar.
As a result of the great recession, Keith followed his interest in solar -- owning LiveLight Energy LLC for a time and being awarded the 2011 Trade Contractor of the Year by the Portland Metro Home Builders Association. He was hired by SolarCity as Regional Sales Manager in 2012.
In early 2017, he formed EverLife Home LLC to pursue a focus on aging-in-place construction. EverLife Home's mission is to create homes that allow people to live where and how they want for as long as they want.
